The Kawasaki Halloween Parade

The Saturday before Halloween was pouring rain the entire day, which meant all the Halloween events for that day was pretty much canceled. Sunday turned out to be beautiful weather in contrast so we all went to check out the festivities in Kawasaki. I was surprised to see lots of people, both adults and children of all ages, in costume. The parade was not really suitable for young children to participate in since there were too many adults in scary and gory costumes all walking rather closely together. But the kids still had a lot of fun.

Here is a clever sister pair costume: Runa, dressed up as Ariel the mermaid and Hina, dressed up as Ariel the princess. The adorable costumes made by Obaa-chan.

Here are some of the other kids in costume. There were lots of witches, jack-o-lanterns, vampires and a few Spidermans. img_0945-01-01.jpg
