Trick or Treat-ing around Tokyo?

hairy.jpgHalloween is next week! Back home my friends and I used to always check out the NYC Halloween parade in the village. Anyone in costume can join in the parade. It’s always amusing seeing the home-made creations people come up with.  I made Keiji’s first Halloween costume out of some fuzzy brown fabric I found at the fabric shop. He was dressed as a little orangutan. Poor Keiji, only 4 months old at the time, was probably wondering what in the world he was wearing! I’d love to make Keiji and Arisa costumes this year, since I missed out on Halloween the past couple of years. But its no fun getting dressed up with no where to go. People on the trains will probably wonder why I dress my kids up in such weird outfits.
Does anyone know if there are areas in Tokyo (or neighboring prefectures) where kids can go trick or treating? Or some kid-friendly Halloween events where they can get dressed up in costumes??
