Kasai Rinkai Park かさいりんかいこうえん 葛西臨海公園, Edogawa えどがわ 江戸川
We went to Kasai Rinkai Park today. What a beautiful park! It’s really huge ….and kind of a much cleaner Flushing Meadow Park. Quite nice that it has lots of grassy areas, shrubs and trees just as nature had placed them, rather than looking overly landscaped to a picture perfect park. I also saw a space for having barbecues. There are much more areas to explore that we’ll have to check out next time when the weather warms up. We met a new friend that day we went to Tokyo Midtown. She and her son live in the area so they showed us around. The two boys had a lot of fun on their first outing together. We only got to see little bit of the park since it was a bit chilly.
First the kids played at a nice little playground right next to the gigantic ferris wheel then afterwards went to the Tokyo Sea Life Park. This aquarium is pretty big. If I had gone to the Epson Aquarium after coming here I’d have been really disappointed for spending the fee for Epson Aquarium! The Tokyo Sea Life Park has many aquariums full of large and colorful saltwater fish, small sharks and rays, a large tank with maguro, I want to go that park again when the weather is warmer…its just what I’ve been looking for…too bad it takes an hour and a half on the train to get there from our house!

How to Get There: 5 minute walk from the Kasai Rinkai Koen station on the JR Keiyo line.
Traveling with a stroller? The Kasai Rinkai Koen station has elevators from the platform to ground level.
